Mother's Day

To my sweet baby Darcy on my first Mother's Day:

My darling girl. Words can not express how much you mean to me. You have made me a mother and it is an honor to have you as my daughter. I feel blessed that God has chosen me to take on the monumental task of being a parent. There are some things I want you to know. First of all I love the Lord, he is my savior and I pray everyday that you will accept him into your heart. God has sacrificed his son so that we can live. Am I a perfect person, defiantly not but God continues to pursue me anyway, his love never fails. Second of all I want you to know how much I love your daddy. I fell deeply in love with him a long time ago and I will never stop loving him. When it is time for you to start dating look for a man after God's own heart, a man that will be a spiritual leader. Also find someone you can have fun with, someone who makes you laugh. Your Dad always makes me feel beautiful and smart, try to find someone who does the same for you. Last of all I want you to know how much I love you. My sweet girl there is nothing you could ever do that would make me stop loving you. When you get older and I have to start correcting your behavior please know that everything I do will be with your best interest in mind. So don't be mad when I won't let you eat an extra cookie or when I say jumping on the bed is a bad idea. I will also love your future brothers and sister as much as I love you. You will be the oldest so naturally you will feel a responsibility towards them but promise me that you will stay a kid, stay innocent for as long as possible. Have fun and play whenever you can. I promise that your Dad and I will pray for you everyday. I know we will make mistakes but I promise we will look to God when raising you. I love you so much, I will treasure every moment I have with you!
