First Day at NRH2O

I took Darcy to NRH2O for the first time last week. NRH2O is a local water park for those of you who are not familiar with the area. We met a big group of friends there, I think it is more fun for mommy than it is for her. She liked it pretty well though. My only concern is that she will get too much sun. I coat her pretty good in sunscreen. I don't know if I am more afraid of her getting burned or facing the wrath of her father if his little girl gets burned, either way I am not taking any chances. We'll be going to the park at least once a week this summer. Its a great excuse to get out of the house and hang out with good friends. I hope Darcy will love the water as much as I do but if she doesn't that's okay we will find something else she likes that we can do together.

Getting ready to get in the water.

Here are her cousins Dylan and Derek. They love the water park.

Darcy even went down a slide. I was worried about her getting splashed, so I held her up pretty high. My sister said "Darcy was in the heavens!" I am the text book paranoid first time mom, at least I can admit it.

Here is a good view of the park, it is really a great place to go. It has a real family environment and they let you take in your own food.

She was worn out by the end of the day.

Mother's Day

To my sweet baby Darcy on my first Mother's Day:

My darling girl. Words can not express how much you mean to me. You have made me a mother and it is an honor to have you as my daughter. I feel blessed that God has chosen me to take on the monumental task of being a parent. There are some things I want you to know. First of all I love the Lord, he is my savior and I pray everyday that you will accept him into your heart. God has sacrificed his son so that we can live. Am I a perfect person, defiantly not but God continues to pursue me anyway, his love never fails. Second of all I want you to know how much I love your daddy. I fell deeply in love with him a long time ago and I will never stop loving him. When it is time for you to start dating look for a man after God's own heart, a man that will be a spiritual leader. Also find someone you can have fun with, someone who makes you laugh. Your Dad always makes me feel beautiful and smart, try to find someone who does the same for you. Last of all I want you to know how much I love you. My sweet girl there is nothing you could ever do that would make me stop loving you. When you get older and I have to start correcting your behavior please know that everything I do will be with your best interest in mind. So don't be mad when I won't let you eat an extra cookie or when I say jumping on the bed is a bad idea. I will also love your future brothers and sister as much as I love you. You will be the oldest so naturally you will feel a responsibility towards them but promise me that you will stay a kid, stay innocent for as long as possible. Have fun and play whenever you can. I promise that your Dad and I will pray for you everyday. I know we will make mistakes but I promise we will look to God when raising you. I love you so much, I will treasure every moment I have with you!

Amazing Pizza

When all the cousins were here we went to Amazing Pizza in Euless. All the kids had a great time. The Bennett kids' parents were with the other family doing wedding stuff so we got to spoil them. This place is a buffet so it was a free for all as far as eating. The kids had pizza, cookies, ice cream, and lots of soda (I am giving away all our secrets)! It was great to see the kids play and have such a good time.

Here is Aunt Amanda with Dylan and Ellie.

Darcy's Baby Dedication

We had Darcy's baby dedication last Sunday. It was a very special time to give Darcy back to the Lord. We are so grateful that he has entrusted us with raising her. It was nice also because most of our family was able to be there for it. Darcy is a blessed little girl, she has so many people that love her. The dedication went well, Darcy didn't cry or fuss. She enjoyed looking around and she fell asleep at the very end during the prayer. After the service we had a very nice cookout to celebrate the occasion.

Here is my family at church right before the service started.

Here we are standing in front of the church. It made me nervous, we were the first ones to be called so we had to figure out where to stand.

Here is the Brown family.

Here is the Pait/ Eisenhour/ Brown family.

By the end of the day Darcy was pretty worn out, poor little thing.
