Darcy Sleeping

Darcy is a funny sleeper. She likes to be all curled up. I guess she is used to being cramped up in my stomach. She is a flexible little thing! I love just watching her sleep it is fascinating, I guess that is a mom for you. She sleeps pretty well and doesn't give her dad and I too much trouble. We are getting more used to having a baby around and I am more comfortable being a mom. We just love this girl so much and we feel so blessed to have her in our lives!

She is taking a nap on her Dad's stomach.

This pictures is hilarious! She is literally resting her chin on her foot.

What a sweet angel!

This is so cute with her hands behind her head!

Valentine's Day!

We had a great Valentine's Day! We went to church that morning, the sermon was great and so was the music. We enjoy our church so much, we always look forward to Sundays. Darcy looked adorable in her Valentine's day dress, it had little hearts all over it. Later that evening Lee and I went out to a movie and dinner. We left Darcy with her Grammie and Grandpa. It was a lot harder to leave her then I thought it would be. I bet it will get easier but it was my first time to be away from her. It was good to go out with my hot husband and be alone for awhile. I love him more and more everyday, looking forward to spending every valentine's day with him for the rest of my life!

Snow Days

How crazy is all the snow we have gotten? I have never seen so much snow in this area in all my life! Lee and I got stir crazy sitting in the house waiting for the snow to clear. We finally ventured out on Friday afternoon to go to Lee's parents house to see the massive snowman Travis built. We got a few pictures of Darcy in the snow. It was her first snow and maybe the biggest she will see in a long time. I love living in Texas so I don't have to deal with all this snow (expect for rare occasions) it is a big pain! I am wishing for some spring weather.

Darcy is not the biggest fan of the snow, maybe when she gets older she'll like it more.

Here is Darcy, Uncle Travis and his huge snowman. I don't know how he even made that!

Lee, Darcy and I had to pose for a picture by the snowman.

Darcy and I stayed where it was dry and made Lee get out and take a picture of us.

So much snow, I can't believe it!

Bath Time

Right now Darcy is not fond of the bath. I think she gets too cold. Now that her umbilical cord has fallen off we can give her an actual bath instead of a sponge bath. I am hoping she will enjoy that more.

Cousins!

Here are a few pictures of Darcy meeting her cousins Dylan and Derek. They are the cutest little boys. I know she will have a good time playing with them when she gets older. I am hoping they will teach her about cars, super heroes, and other boy stuff. Maybe she will give them a run for their money! She has four other cousins but they live in Illinois so she will have to meet them later. Darcy is very blessed to have so much family that love her!

Cute Darcy Pics

Here are just a few snap shots of Darcy. We are constantly taking pictures of her. We are getting use to having her around. We are still learning the ins and outs of parenting but I think we will be doing that for the next 20 something years. This little girl is loved a lot, her dad and I couldn't be more proud of her!

Here she is in her valentines outfit that Grammie got her. It says Mommy's Valentine. She looks adorable in it!
This is another adorable outfit that our friends Autumn Cotten and Ann King got for her. I love dressing her up, she looks so cute in everything!

Here is Darcy with her great Grandma Jean. Darcy loves getting held and there is always someone willing to do it!

Darcy is a little upset in this picture but she looks cute when she fusses I don't mind!

First Time at Church

This past Sunday we took Darcy to church for the first time. I know it is a little early but I had to get out of the house for a bit. I got to get her dressed up in a cute outfit and of course I put a bow on her. She did very well during the service. Her Daddy held her the entire time and he claimed that she loved the music. She mostly slept through the service, we snuck out early to avoid the crowds. Gran and Pappa came over after church and brought us a wonderful lunch, many thanks to them! All in all it was a good day and she looked adorable! People could probably tell I was a first time mom when I was taking pictures during the service!

She gets a little cranky at first when we are putting her in her car seat.

Here she is sleeping in the service. I guess this is one time in your life you can get away with sleeping in chuch.

Here is the proud Dad, holding his baby girl!

Here is a picture of me posing with her outside the sanctuary. She looks so little in that car seat!

Darcy coming home from the hospital

We got to leave the hospital on Friday, we were so glad to get home. I was most excited about Darcy's take home outfit. Lee always referred to her as Miss Darcy while I was pregnant so I had a shirt made that said Miss Darcy. Also I had my good friend Melissa Jacobson knit an adorable hat for her to wear. To top it off we used one of her gorgeous blankets that Gran and Aunt Amanda made for her. All the nurses thought she was adorable, we got a lot of looks as we were leaving. Here are a few pictures of her outfit and of us leaving.
