Darcy's room

Here is Darcy's room! Lee, my dad and I worked tirelessly on this room. We started by scraping off the popcorn ceiling and retexturing the ceiling. That was a hard and messy job! Then we added a new fan and light fixture. We then painted the walls white. Next we bought wainscoting and chair rail. We painted the wainscoting black and the chair rail red and put those on the wall. Also we put up crown molding, it makes the room look polished. I have to give major props to my dad for all his hard word. He spent many a late night at our house working on the room. I guess a grandpa is willing to do that for his granddaughter! Also a major thanks to my wonderful husband for his hard work as well. All the bedding was made by my VERY talented mother and sister. My favorite colors are red and black so we searched and found several great fabrics to make the perfect bedding. It turned out great, as you can see and I love it! My good friend Autumn hung Darcy's name above the crib and it turned out really cute. Well as you can tell this room was a labor of love and many people contributed to make my vision come to life! Thanks to all those who helped! I am sure Darcy will be very comfortable in her room!

She has just a few bows to choose from! My friend Many Cotten made this adorable bow holder. My sister Amanda made several of the bows.

Lee and I sanded and repainted this changing table that my sister Amanda and brother in law Troy gave us. I was happy with how it turned out.

Christmas 2009

This is my first blog post so here goes nothing. My husband and I are expecting our first baby in about a month, we are very excited and anxious about her arrival. I can't wait to not be pregnant anymore! I have missed the freedom to do certain things like bend over, sleep on my back, and get up off the floor easily. It is the little things like that I took for granted before pregnancy. Most of all I can't wait to see my baby girl! It is crazy how much I love her already and I haven't even met her yet. I guess all things in pregnancy have not been so bad I have enjoyed getting to feel her move. It is so weird to have a living thing inside of you. Lee loves feeling my stomach and he gets so excited every time he feels her move. Our little girl is due Feb. 2nd and her name is Darcy Elizabeth. Lee and I had a great Christmas we are blessed to have great families to share the holidays with. We split the time between both of our families. I got a camera for Christmas which is the main reason I am starting a blog. So here are some picture highlights from our Christmas.

This is our baby nephew Derek. He is so sweet! He loves playing with any kind of balls, his favorite is basketballs.

This is our other nephew Dylan. He loves pirates, sports, and Handy Manny tools. He is a lot of fun, we love spending time with both of these little boys!

This is my sister Amanda and I at Christmas. We had matching shirts to wear.

This is Lee with his newest baby cousin Aubree. She is pretty cute. Lee was getting in some good practice, Aubree loved playing with him, she kept smiling at him.

Here is Alicia and I in our matching shirts on Christmas Eve

This is Lee and I on Christmas morning. As you can see Santa was very good to us this year!

Here are all the Brown siblings on Christmas Eve. We are all matching except for Lee.

This is all the cousins on Christmas Eve. Amy Harris, Gina Daily, and Rachel Wood.
